CM Shivraj honours Ravi Karkara

Ravi Karkara is an ardent advocate for equality and inclusion who focuses on digital skills and digital citizenship, mentoring the world's largest digital literacy campaign that reaches over 15 million citizens.

Madhya Pradesh (MP) Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan honoured Indian American global sustainability expert and mentor Ravi Karkara for his exceptional contribution to Chief Minister Young Entrepreneurship Programme in the state. Karkara led the Youth of India Foundation to train the state’s youth in the field of good governance.

Congratulating Karkara for his contribution, the CM said, “You have demonstrated a remarkable ability to engage and inspire young trainees in the social media space.” He praised Karkara's valuable efforts to encourage participants to harness the power of social media for positive change.

Karkara, who resides in New York, has over two decades of experience promoting global sustainable development, ecological growth, and innovation. As a sustainability advocate, he worked in diverse locations and contexts, including Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He is also actively involved in sustainability mentoring for Boards, CEOs, CXOs, investors, and celebrities.

Karkara's contributions to sustainability are widely recognized as a co-founder of several global initiatives, such as AI For Food, the New York Investors Forum on India 2047, Global Solar Day, and Global Green Hydrogen Day. He is the president of the Global Eye Leadership Institute in New York, for which Congressman Jonathan Jackson awarded him the Leadership Medallion.

The Indian American has also received numerous honors, including the "Global Sustainability Champion" Pride of India award at the historic Global Strategic Alliance in Chicago. On International Women's Day, Congressman Danny K. Davis honored and awarded him for his work with female children on Capitol Hill.
