Congressional Black Caucus gang up against Rep Thanedar

It's uncommon for House Democrats to endorse a primary challenger to one of their sitting colleagues in Congress: Detroit News

The Congressional Black Caucus, in an unprecedented move, has come out against a sitting Congressman Indian American Shri Thanedar and have announced to endorse his challenger Adam Hollier in the Democratic Congressional primary.

Thanedar is the first Indian American to represent Michigan in Congress. In 2022, he defeated his Republican opponent by 47 percentage points, this breaking a 67-year streak of a Black Michigander representing Detroit.

Black Caucus Chair Steven Horsford and his predecessor Joyce Beatty on April 19 announced to endorse Adam Hollier in the Democratic primary.
