Developed India by 2047 is achievable, says expert panel in New York

New York: Two top experts involved in India’s growth story said at an interaction at the Indian Consulate on May.23 that a developed India is within reach by 2047.

Adil Zainulbhai, chairman of the Capacity Building Commission of the Government of India, and Ron Somers, founder and CEO of India First Group, stated that the development in India in the past three decades has been spectacular. Many factors in play are adding to the optimism that India will be a developed nation when it celebrates 100th year of its Independence.     

Luminaries from the public and private sectors, Zainulbhai and Somers gave lucid presentations at the ‘Developed India @ 2047’ event, followed by a discussion and Q&A session moderated by Hemang Jani, senior adviser to the World Bank leadership, and secretary of the Capacity Building Commission.
