Devyani Pawar and Avi Aggarwal, two young Indians, are surprise selections to present Global Shapers Community at the World Economic Forum Annual Summit 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. They are among a group of 50 global delegates for the Davos Meeting
The annual meeting, held from Jan. 20–24, will gather global leaders from government, business, and civil society to address key global challenges, including geopolitical shocks, inclusive energy transitions, and stimulating growth to improve living standards.
Pawar’s journey began in Baramati, where she became a founding member of India’s first rural Global Shapers Hub under the World Economic Forum—the Baramati Hub.
Through this initiative, she has led transformative projects addressing climate resilience, AI in agriculture, healthcare accessibility, education, and women’s empowerment. Her work has empowered local communities, sparked sustainable practices, and created opportunities for youth.
Her contributions have earned her a place at global platforms like the WEF Headquarters in Geneva and the UN Headquarters. Now, with the theme “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age” at Davos 2025, Pawar aims to highlight grassroots changemakers and advocate for solutions to global challenges that stem from local initiatives.
In addition to her work with the Global Shapers Community, Pawar is the co-founder of ForSapio, a storytelling-driven marketing firm, and DP House of Media, which has revolutionized design-led marketing solutions for clients across India, the UK, and Europe. With over 10 years of experience and more than 500 successful projects, Pawar has redefined marketing through a minimalistic, strategic approach.
Reflecting on her selection as a delegate, Pawar shared on LinkedIn, “This is not just my achievement, it’s the collective achievement of everyone who believed in me, worked alongside me, and pushed me to grow.”
Alongside Pawar, Aggarwal is making his mark at the World Economic Forum.
Aggarwal is a creator, community leader, and climate advocate. He founded Back to Letters, an initiative to revive letter writing and strengthen human connections.
As a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum, he collaborates with young leaders to address global challenges. He is also a leader with The Climate Reality Project, promoting climate education and sustainability.
Additionally, Aggarwal is a fellow with beVisioneers, empowering young innovators to bring planet-positive ideas to life. His work focuses on fostering connection and sustainability.
Sharing his excitement in a LinkedIn post he wrote, “I am extremely elated and excited to represent the Global Shapers Ahmedabad and IFP at the WEF25, and I look forward to meeting inspirational people from around the world.”
Both Pawar and Aggarwal’s participation underscores growing participation of India's youth in shaping solutions to pressing issues.
