Disney Star’s channels to be launched in Canada

ATN secured exclusive Canadian rights from Disney Star to launch four channels.

Asian Television Network International Limited (ATN), renowned as Canada's largest South Asian broadcaster and a pioneering force in cricket broadcasting, has made a significant acquisition. The company has secured exclusive Canadian rights from Disney Star to launch four channels: ATN Star Plus, ATN Star Gold, ATN Star Vijay, and ATN Vijay Super.

We are now delighted to be associated with one of the largest and most reputable Media Conglomerates, Disney Star” said Dr. Shan Chandrasekar, president of ATN. "We expect to attract a much larger audience through Disney Star's compelling content, which would enhance our Subscription and Advertising Revenues” he added.

Star Plus, a prominent Hindi general entertainment television channel in India, is well-known for its diverse and captivating programming. It offers a wide range of content, including family dramas, reality shows, and special events. Star Plus consistently leads in prime-time viewership, with many of its popular shows consistently ranking in the top 5 among Hindi-language television channels. Some of its hit shows include Anupama, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Imlie, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Yeh Hai Chahatein.

Star Gold, often referred to as "The Home of Blockbusters," is a prominent 24/7 Hindi movie channel in India. It boasts one of the most extensive and diverse collections of Indian movies, entertaining the entire family. Star Vijay is a prominent Tamil-language general entertainment channel that stands out for its innovative shows and diverse programming. It offers a wide array of entertainment options, including drama serials, reality shows, and Tamil films.
