General physician turned animal rights activist, Dr. Harsha Atmakuri, is to embark on a significant tour across various North American universities, scheduled from Mar. 27 to May 4. Organized in collaboration with the Allied Scholars for Animal Protection (ASAP) team, the tour aims to spotlight critical animal rights issues.
Dr. Harsha's journey into animal activism commenced with his adoption of a vegan lifestyle, driven by spiritual convictions and a profound sense of responsibility. This transformation led him to delve into investigative filmmaking, culminating in his acclaimed documentary, "MAA KA DOODH” (Mother’s Milk) said the official statement.
"MAA KA DOODH" garnered international recognition, earning the title of Best Film with a Global Movement at the Jaipur International Film Festival in 2023.
The forthcoming tour, by Dr. Harsha and ASAP, seeks to amplify awareness among students and communities across North American universities through lectures, film screenings, and interactive sessions on animal rights and welfare.
"We are thrilled to bring our advocacy to the United States and engage with students and communities to deepen their understanding of animal rights," said Dr. Harsha.
