Fairplex in Pomona, a city about 50 kilometers from Los Angeles, is an event complex that has hosted the Los Angeles County
Fair since 1922. For the 2028 Olympics, Fairplex, has been chosen as the venue for the return of cricket to the Olympic program after a century-plus hiatus. Cricket, a globally loved sport boasting 2.5 billion fans, is set to make its return to the Olympic Games for the first time since a limited two-nation competition in 1900. We spoke to the Californian Indian American community to learn about their reaction to cricket being played in their backyard. Here are some of their reactions.
