Muslim families welcome Eid / Mohammed Jaffer-SnapsindiaEid ul Fitar marks the ending of 30 day of Ramazan fasting. The first prayers was led by Shaiq Aala of Al Tawheed Islamic Center in Jersey City.

Following the prayers Jersey City officials greeted the community. Former Governer of New Jersey and Jersey City Mayoral Candidate James Edward McGreevey greeted Muslims on the occasion.
