The Consulate General of India in Perth extended warm wishes for Gandhi Jayanti on X, encouraging everyone to follow the path of truth and wisdom while paying tribute to the Father of the Nation on this special day. It also held a talk on ‘Gandhi Jayanti” by Shobhana Radhakrishna.

Melbourne

Consul General of the Consulate General of India, Melbourne, along with officials at the Consulate paid homage to Gandhi on his birth anniversary, whose ideals of truth and nonviolence continue to inspire millions across the globe.



Canberra

The Indian community in Canberra, together with the High Commission of India, Canberra, paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 155th birth anniversary today.



New Zealand 

The Indian High Commission in New Zealand celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and the international day of non-violence. Anand Satyanand, former New Zealand governor-general, lawyer Laurie Foon, deputy mayor, and other community leaders reflected on the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and their relevance today. Everyone enjoyed the bhajans, songs, and poems performed in his memory.

Beijing

On Gandhiji’s 155th birth anniversary, Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat and Shruti Rawat paid tribute to him at the Jintai Museum. Luo Xiao from the Museum, along with members of the diplomatic community, the Indian diaspora, and friends of India, also honored Bapuji.



The Ambassador spoke to the gathering, emphasizing the importance of Gandhiji’s values in today’s world. His teachings of peace, truth, and nonviolence continue to inspire people everywhere.



The Indian community united for the play “Ahimsa: The Gandhi Way,” directed by Ms. Ketkee Thakar and written by Ms. Ayushi Sugandhi. The production brought Gandhiji’s message of nonviolence and truth to life, serving as a moving tribute to his enduring legacy.



Additionally, the group “Lasya,” led by Zhang Jinghui, performed a graceful Odissi dance to “Vaishnav Jan To,” beautifully blending classical elegance with the soulful essence of Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite bhajan.
