Alka Gautam is new director at Chartwell Retirement Residences

Alka Gautam has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Canada’s Chartwell Retirement Residences, a company statement said on Jan.6.
Gautam brings extensive leadership, operations, finance, and risk management expertise to Chartwell, honed over 20 years at Fortune 500 company Reinsurance Group of America (RGA). She most recently served as Executive Vice President of Global Operations and President & CEO of RGA Canada, previously holding roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of RGA Canada. Retiring in 2023, she now serves on the Board of Directors for iA Financial Corporation (TSX:IAG). A qualified financial expert, Gautam holds CPA, CA Canada, and ICD.D designations.

Gautam will serve on Chartwell's Audit and Investment Committees.
Chartwell is an unincorporated, open-ended real estate trust which indirectly owns and operates a complete range of seniors housing communities, from independent living through to assisted living and long term care.
