A US travel blogger has sparked online debate after posting a harsh review of his Air India business class experience on a flight from London to Amritsar. Drew Binsky, known for sharing travel insights, described the $750 seat upgrade for the nine-hour journey as the "worst business class experience" he has ever had.
In a detailed Instagram post, Binsky highlighted multiple issues with the service. He claimed his seat was broken and would not recline, forcing him to endure the long-haul flight in discomfort. Adding to his frustration, the table at his seat was reportedly malfunctioning, leaving him to balance his meal on a pillow, which he alleged was "covered in human hair”.
“The area around my seat was filthy,” Binsky said, noting grime and dust deeply embedded in the seat’s crevices.
The travel blogger also criticized the in-flight entertainment system, calling it "outdated and unresponsive”. Despite being advertised, Wi-Fi connectivity never worked during the flight. Binsky also expressed dissatisfaction with the amenities kit, which contained only a single lotion he compared to those found in a "1-star motel." Even the hot towel service disappointed him, as he claimed the towel was cold.
Sharing a video of his experience, Binsky described the flight as “pathetic” and ended with a sharp warning: “Thank you, Air India, for this miserable 9-hour experience which I spent $750 to upgrade for. I will ensure to never fly Air India again, and I recommend you all to stay away unless you want this.”
The post has since garnered significant attention, with many users sharing similar experiences and others defending the airline. Air India has not yet commented on the allegations.
