AmpliTech Group appoints Shailesh Modi to board of directors

AmpliTech Group, Inc., a Hauppauge, New York-based designer and manufacturer of advanced signal processing components, has appointed Shailesh “Sonny” Modi to its board of directors. Modi, a seasoned financial and business professional with nearly 40 years of experience, will serve on the company’s Audit, Nominating, and Governance Committees.
The company, which specializes in signal processing solutions for satellite communications, public and private 5G networks, and integrated circuit assembly, expressed confidence in Modi’s expertise to help achieve its corporate goals.
Modi’s extensive career includes a decade at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he worked with financial services clients and participated in initial public offerings. Over the past 30 years, he has held senior executive roles in the private sector, most recently serving as chief financial officer and Treasurer at ShelterPoint Life Insurance Company. In 2024, he played a key role in leading the successful sale of ShelterPoint to Protective Life Insurance Company.
Modi holds a BS in Accounting and an MBA in Finance & Computer Systems from New York University. He has served on various boards, including InRoads and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA), and has been actively involved in volunteer organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America.
AmpliTech Group stated that Modi’s leadership and financial acumen would provide valuable insight as the company continues to expand its market presence and innovation in the communications industry.
