NY-based financial services company, Collective Liquidity, the first exchange fund for securities of venture-backed private companies, has announced the appointment of Ankit Misra as their new chief investment officer (CIO).

As CIO, Misra will collaborate with Collective’s investment committee to oversee all aspects of portfolio construction and investment management. He will also manage the development of Collective’s proprietary valuation technology, which enables real-time pricing of securities from hundreds of venture-backed private companies.

Additionally, Misra will assist with capital formation from family offices and institutional investors, offering them a liquid, diversified access point to the venture asset class, the firm said in a statement.

With 15 years of experience in investing in technology companies through multiple market cycles, Misra previously served at JP Morgan Chase, where he focused on strategic equity investments in fintech and enterprise technology companies. He also has foundational investment experience from Blackstone Private Equity and honed his research and analysis skills at McKinsey & Company.

“I am delighted to be joining Collective as the company scales its platform to the next level,” said Misra. “Their unique liquidity, tax optimization, diversification, and other wealth management solutions for employees are much needed in the venture ecosystem. Equally importantly, their funds provide institutional investors access to a diversified portfolio of high-quality venture assets.”

Greg Brogger, Collective’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm about Misra’s appointment. “We couldn’t be happier to have Ankit coming on board. Ankit has precisely the experience and skill set needed to manage and scale our investment program and accelerate our growth.”
Ankit Misra holds a B.Tech and M.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
