The India Society of Worcester (ISW) on Mar.16 hosted Holi celebrations at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston. The event attracted hundreds of visitors and community members, offering a joyful and immersive experience of this cherished Indian festival.
The celebration began with a high-energy performance by the ISW Symphony’s Dhol & Tasha drums and Lezim dancers. "We matched the energy level of a performance in India. It’s wonderful to see the next generation now interested and invested in this tradition," said Akshay Rajhans of the ISW Symphony.
Adding to the excitement, community dance groups lit up the stage with colorful performances representing different regions of India. These diverse acts highlighted the richness of Indian culture and kept the audience entertained throughout the event.
"The Holi event was an absolute hit! The energy was incredible, and the performances had everyone completely captivated," said participant Prasanna Pawar.
