Caitlin Sandra crowned Miss India USA 2024

Sanskriti Sharma of Illinois won the Mrs. India USA title, with Arshita Kathpalia taking the crown for Miss Teen India USA.

Caitlin Sandra Neil, a 19-year-old student from the University of California, Davis, has been crowned Miss India USA 2024. She won the title at the annual pageant held in New Jersey, where she shared her passion for promoting women’s empowerment and literacy to make a positive impact in her community.

“I am beyond excited and honored to be crowned as your MISS INDIA USA 2024! This crown is not just a title, but a platform - one I will use to serve, uplift, and lead with purpose. I truly believe that leadership begins with the heart, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude for everyone who made this dream a reality,” Sandra expressed in a statement following her win.

“This experience has given me more than a crown; it has gifted me a sisterhood of strong, inspiring women and a purpose to amplify voices that deserve to be heard.This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” she added. 

Sandra Born in Chennai, India, moved to the United States at the age of 5 and has lived there for the past 14 years. She is pursuing a career in web design while exploring opportunities in modeling and acting.

The pageant, organized by the New York-based India Festival Committee, led by Neelam and Dharmatma Saran. , saw contestants from 25 states competing across three categories: Miss India USA, Mrs. India USA, and Miss Teen India USA. Caitlin Sandra was crowned by the previous titleholder, Sneha Nambiar.

Sanskriti Sharma of Illinois won the Mrs. India USA title, with Sapna Mishra of Virginia and Chinamayee Ayachit of Connecticut as runners-up. In the Miss Teen India USA category, Arshita Kathpalia of Washington took the crown, while Dhriti Patel of Rhode Island and Sonali Sharma were named first and second runners-up.

As the longest-running Indian pageant outside of India, the event showcased the diversity and accomplishments of 47 participants, emphasizing community values and cultural pride on an international stage.
