The Consulate General of India in Chicago in partnership with the Asian American Cultural Center and the Indian Graduate Students Association (IGSA) has inaugurated an "India Corner" at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Sanjeev Pal, Consul (Press, Information & Culture), donated a diverse collection of books covering various aspects of India to the university during his meeting with Dr. David W. Chhi, senior director of the Asian American Cultural Center.

The resource aims to benefit the approximately 55,000 students enrolled at the university and help to enhance their understanding of India's rich heritage and contemporary advancements.
This initiative, part of the Consulate's broader mission to establish "India Corners" across Midwestern universities, aims to provide students with accessible, high-quality resources on India's culture, history, economy, science and technology, and political landscape.

The establishment of "India Corners" is part of a larger effort by the Government of India to share knowledge and promote cultural understanding globally.
