The Edina Police Department, in partnership with the Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA), hosted a mandir town hall on Feb.26, to address the safety of Hindu temples, promote dialogue, and build stronger community partnerships. The town hall aimed to promote proactive engagement between law enforcement and the Hindu community in Minnesota.

The event was held in response to an alleged hateful incident at the Sri Venkateswara (Balaji) Temple on Dec.20, 2024, where a man insulted temple attendees with xenophobic slurs.
