Counting continues in Nevada, Arizona as Trump secures victory

As votes continue to be tallied in the swing states of Nevada and Arizona, Donald J. Trump has clinched the presidency. Projections for the two states reveal a clear path to Trump’s win, marking a substantial improvement over his 2020 performance.
Of the 93 electoral votes at stake across seven swing states, Trump needed at least 51 to secure the presidency. With final counts underway in critical states like Nevada and Arizona, Trump holds a narrow lead. In Arizona, where over 01 percent of votes have been counted, Trump leads by 5 points. In Nevada, nearly 90 percent of votes have been reported, also showing Trump with a 5-point advantage.
Officials in Maricopa County, Arizona, have indicated that full tabulation may take up to 10 to 13 days, as most ballots were cast by mail. Similarly, in Nevada, recent changes allowing postmarked ballots to arrive up to four days post-Election Day mean a final tally might not be available until Nov. 9.
Trump has already seen critical victories in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida — a one-time battleground that has swung heavily Republican in recent cycles — as well as solid red states like Texas, South Carolina, and Indiana. Harris, meanwhile, captured Democratic strongholds such as New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington.
As the count continues, both parties and a divided electorate await the final tallies from these battlegrounds, which have shaped an election expected to have lasting implications for America’s political future.
