CUNY SPH names Davinder Kaur as director of online learning

Through data-driven strategies, Kaur will enhance online learning, faculty support, and student success in her new role.

The City University of New York School of Public Health (CUNY SPH) has appointed Davinder Kaur as its new director of online learning. 

Kaur brings over 15 years of expertise in academic affairs administration, focusing on enhancing online education for adult and non-traditional learners. She previously served as program director for the BBA course at Metropolitan College of New York, assistant dean of e-learning at Stony Brook University, director at Farmingdale College, among others. 

Her career spans various academic institutions, including R1 universities, technology-driven schools, and both public and private universities. She has also contributed to non-profit organizations, developing strategies to support diverse student and faculty populations. 

Currently pursuing a doctoral degree in curriculum, instruction, and the science of learning at the University at Buffalo, Kaur is known for her data-driven approach, integrating feedback systems and analytics to improve student success frameworks and faculty development programs.

Delving into the intricacies of curricular development, faculty engagement, assessment, and the overall learning process brings me immense satisfaction, contributing to my deep experience in institutional operational excellence,” Kaur’s website states.  

At CUNY SPH, she aims to advance technology-enhanced education by transforming innovative ideas into concrete strategies that improve learning outcomes. Her work will focus on optimizing online learning initiatives, strengthening faculty support systems, and ensuring student success.
