The Democratic Party at all levels needs to study & follow the model of the Senator Doug Jones campaign in ruby red Alabama. I was there and volunteered for him at the time. The campaign was run by Joe Trippi whom I know from the Gov. Jerry Brown’s Presidential & Gubernatorial campaigns. 

Sen. Jones & Trippi excited African-American voters, young voters, and women and minorities and moderate Republicans by using grassroots groups & consultants who were local. The groups & consultants knew their neighbors, communities and were not national leaders from Washington. African-American grassroots groups and consultants were utilized. It is true that the Republican,  Roy Moore, was vulnerable for a number of reasons.

The 2025, 2026, & 2028 will provide Democrats a similar opportunity as that provided in Alabama because the Republicans will be vulnerable at all levels due to overreach by MAGA, Trump, & and “Unelected”  Musk & “Unelected “DOGE! 

Red states are being hurt the most by cuts, domestic upheaval, incompetence, kleptocracy, oligarchy , & the high cost of living where only billionaires are benefitting. The corruption is unprecedented in American history.

American foreign policy has been upended by Trump & Musk who have completely shifted the world order. The U S is abandoning allies, sabotaging developing nations and ceding power to China & Russia and aligning itself with murderous dictators & regimes around the world.
 

They are supporting white supremacist groups & neo-Nazis at home and abroad, especially in Europe. The world is unstable because of Trump & Musk.

Additionally because of shortsighted & ignorant cuts & actions,  air travel is unsafe, food is poisoned and unsafe, health research is stalled, our medicines are unsafe, diseases are spreading like wildfire, air and water are unsafe, climate disasters are increasing, the federal government is ignoring climate disasters & damages, our way of life is under attack and our homeland and communities are unsafe from crime & terrorists by cuts & firings at FBI, DOJ, FAA, FDA, CDC,  HHS, NIH, SEC, FTC, EPA, and IRS and Department of Education.

Consumer protection under the CFPB is being denied so banks can cheat people again like under Bush & Cheney!

Our US Constitution is under attack and our system of checks and balances is being ignored. There is no recourse from draconian, overbearing Executive branch that acts like a King & Dictator!

There will be an American revolution against MAGA! The Democrats should use the Senator Doug Jones model, go on challenging alternative, new media, sports shows, independent and conservative media, & empower grassroots groups who know their constituents & are trusted by them as organizers in a decentralized way.

In 2024, 89 Million registered voters did not vote. These were mostly people who were excited to register by the 107 Day of Harris-Walz and the thought of VP Kamala Harris becoming the first female President, the first Indian and Asian president and the first African-American woman president. 

The Democratic base and independents did not vote. The Never-Trumpers and Haley voters did not turn out. Black women voted 92% in favour of Harris-Walz but they voted in much lower numbers than 2020. Young voters did not turn out despite a surge in newly eligible youth. Black men and Latinos and Latinas voted in smaller numbers. 

The people who actually voted for Trump or against the Biden administration were swayed by wedge issues like immigration, and transgender rights. However most importantly they were swayed by microeconomic issues like cost of groceries and cost of housing and shelter. MAGA has done nothing to address this but are making it worse. The Democrats much energise the silent majority.  Vice President was an incredibly charismatic candidate but could not withstand with headwinds of President Joe Biden who should not have run for re-election.

The Democratic Party should consult with Joe Trippi, Sen. Jones, the Obama people & Gov. Jerry Brown.
