Deputy Secretary of State Richard R. Verma will serve as the keynote speaker at the 25th Annual Awards Banquet of the US India Chamber of Commerce (USICOC) on December 10, 2024.

The event, which celebrates innovation, leadership, and global partnerships, is to take place at the Westin Dallas Park Central and expected to draw more than 800 attendees, including local, state, and federal representatives, as well as leaders from diverse industries.

Verma, the first Indian American to serve as U.S. Ambassador to India, has had a distinguished career spanning diplomacy, public policy, and private sector leadership. During his tenure as Ambassador from 2014 to 2017, he strengthened U.S.-India relations in trade, defense, technology, and cultural exchanges, laying the groundwork for the current strategic partnership between the two nations.

Founded in 1999 as the Greater Dallas Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, USICOC fosters professional and business growth in North Texas. The organization has featured prominent keynote speakers in past events, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy.

The banquet will include live music, networking opportunities, and recognition of outstanding business and community leaders.
