Ditya Jain and Rajvi Khanjan Shroff won educational scholarships by Aspire2STEAM for the Winter '25 Term.
Aspire2STEAM is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).
The awards were announced on Jan. 31, and among the seven recipients, Jain and Shroff were each awarded scholarships to support their academic endeavors in STEAM fields.
Jain, a freshman at the University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Computer Science and minoring in pre-law, is passionate about ethical hacking, cybersecurity, and ensuring the security of both companies and individuals. She enjoys working with technology, solving complex problems, and continuously improving her skill set.
Shroff, also a freshman studying Computer Science at San Jose State University, is the founder of Cyber Student Crew (formerly Project Cyber), a global online platform created by teens for teens. The platform allows users to publish technical cybersecurity articles and organize Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions. Shroff has been leading this initiative since August 2020.
The ASPIRE Educational Scholarships are designed to alleviate financial barriers for students pursuing college degrees in STEAM-related disciplines. As part of the program, recipients gain access to mentoring that helps them navigate their academic and professional journeys.
The ADVISOR scholarship recipient:
• Marianne Nguyen, a freshman at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
The ASPIRER scholarship recipients:
• Adele Bosma, a freshman at Northern Arizona University, majoring in Computer Science
• Jasmine Wongphatarakul, a sophomore at the University of California, Los Angeles, double majoring in Computer Science and Linguistics with a minor in Data Science Engineering
• Madelyn Seiler, a freshman at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, majoring in Music Education
• Marissa Yeh, a junior at the University of Southern California, majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Urban Planning
