ELLKAY, a New Jersey-based healthcare data management company, has announced the appointment of Ajay Kapare as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO).
Kapare succeeds Kamal Patel, the company’s founder and former CEO, who will continue to serve in an advisory capacity.

Kapare has been with ELLKAY since 2017, previously holding the role of president and chief strategy officer. His tenure has been marked by contributions to the company’s strategic direction, with a focus on healthcare interoperability and data transformation.
In a statement, Patel expressed confidence in Kapare’s leadership. "Ajay has been a driving force in our growth, bringing fresh perspective and bold ideas. As I transition to my next chapter in the non-profit world, I feel fulfilled knowing Ajay will do a phenomenal job as my successor. There's no one I trust more to lead us into the future. I'm proud of how far we've come and even more excited for what's ahead,” he said.
Industry leaders have also acknowledged Kapare’s leadership. John Halamka, president of Mayo Clinic Platform, described him as a leader who fosters collaboration and drives progress in healthcare technology. “Ajay is the kind of leader who brings people together, challenges the status quo, and always puts the needs of the industry first.”
Tressa Springmann, at LifeBridge Health, highlighted his expertise in healthcare data management and his ability to advance interoperability solutions. “His strategic vision and passion for interoperability will undoubtedly drive meaningful advancements in how healthcare organizations connect and utilize data to improve patient care.”
Kapare expressed his commitment to furthering ELLKAY’s efforts in data connectivity and healthcare IT solutions. "I'm honored to lead ELLKAY into its next phase of growth and innovation. We see tremendous opportunities ahead to unlock the full potential of data, and we remain deeply committed to working alongside our customer-partners to shape the future of healthcare IT,” he said.
