The Eye Foundation of America founded by Indian American opthalmologist V.K. Raju hosted the ‘Hope for Tomorrow Fundraiser 2025’ in New Delhi with an aim to eradicate childhood blindness.
The event aimed to raise funds for Goutami India Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Program of the Goutami Eye Institute, a premier institute run by the Eye Foundation of America.
The ROP program focuses on early screening and treatment for premature infants at risk of blindness.
The Rotary Club Gurgaon Passion, led by rotarian Sandeepp Saxena, immediate past president and Rotary International District 3011 also led their support to the event.
With financial support mobilized during the event, and an additional matching contribution from the Eye Foundation of America, the initiative will expand access to critical eye care services in underserved regions.
The event was a blend of advocacy and entertainment, featuring impactful speeches, success stories, and cultural performances. A special highlight was the musical performance by the NAB Surkriti Orchestra, showcasing the talent of visually impaired children, and a fashion show for a cause by designer Shravan Kummar.
The event saw participation from several stakeholders including Mukesh Batra, Rami Ranger, Mukesh Aghi of American Chamber Of Commerce In India (AMCHAM India), and representatives from Grant Thornton Bharat LLP, LPS Bossard Pvt Ltd, Benevity, and Indiaspora.
By rallying global support, Hope for Tomorrow 2025 reaffirmed the power of collaboration in ensuring a future where no child loses their sight to preventable conditions.
