Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to return to Bollywood with ‘Abir Gulaal’, marking his first film in the industry since 2016. His hiatus followed an unofficial ban on Pakistani artists that year. Khan was last seen in Karan Johar's ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
The teaser for ‘Abir Gulaal’ was dropped on Apr.1, and Khan’s fans are rooting for the upcoming romantic comedy, which also stars Vaani Kapoor. The short clip shows Khan singing the iconic Bollywood track ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ to Kapoor.
The film features Lisa Haydon, Riddhi Dogra, Farida Jalal, Soni Razdan, Parmeet Sethi, Rahul Vora, and Amrit Sandhu in key roles. The movie, directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, was shot in the picturesque streets of London.
It is slated to be released on May.9. Amit Trivedi has worked on its music.
Previously, Fawad Khan played the lead in Bollywood hits ‘Khoobsurat’ (2014) and ‘Kapoor & Sons’ (2016).
