FBI Director Kash Patel reaffirmed his commitment to full transparency as the agency released additional documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender who was accused of sexually abusing dozens of underage girls.
In a statement posted on X, Patel assured that the FBI is committed to uncovering all available information. “The FBI is entering a new era—one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice. There will be no cover-ups, no missing documents, and no stone left unturned,” he wrote.
The newly released files, disclosed on Feb. 27 by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), include flight logs and personal contacts linked to Epstein. Some social media users have raised concerns that the documents have been “edited” for public release.
Among the materials is an address book allegedly compiled by Epstein and his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.
Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized the importance of transparency in releasing the files, stating, “This Department of Justice is following through on President Trump’s commitment to transparency and lifting the veil on the disgusting actions of Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators.”
The DOJ initially received approximately 200 pages of documents but later learned that thousands more pages related to Epstein’s investigation had not been disclosed. Patel has been tasked with investigating why the full records were not provided earlier.
“If there are gaps, we will find them. If records have been hidden, we will uncover them. And we will bring everything we find to the DOJ to be fully assessed and transparently disseminated to the American people as it should be,” Patel asserted.
The Justice Department has pledged to continue releasing the remaining files after reviewing and redacting sensitive information to protect Epstein’s victims.
