The data titled ‘Students Pursuing Study in Foreign Countries’ provided in response to a parliamentary query by Indian MP E.T. Mohammed Basheer, shows that a total of 759,064 Indian students cited "Study/Education" as their purpose of travel abroad in 2024, down significantly from 892,989 in 2023. The number was 750,365 in 2022, indicating that after a surge in 2023, student migration has dropped to nearly the same level as two years ago.
