Fox News proposes second presidential debate in October
The proposed debate would mirror the format of the CNN debate held in June and Sep.10 ABC debate, with a 90-minute duration and two commercial breaks.

Fox News said it proposed to hold a second presidential debate in October, adding it sent letters to the campaigns for both Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican rival Donald Trump before Sep.10 night's debate.
FOX News Media executives officially extended an offer to both the Kamala Harris and Donald Trump campaigns to host a second debate. The proposal, which was sent in a letter from FOX News Media President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace and Vice President of Politics Jessica Loker, suggests that the debate be moderated by FOX News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
"Now that the first debate is underway between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, FOX News Media is re-upping its proposal," Wallace and Loker stated in the letter. "As the Harris Campaign has stated, the American people will have another opportunity to see both on stage in October."
The proposed debate would mirror the format of the CNN debate held in June and Sep.10 ABC debate, with a 90-minute duration and two commercial breaks. The moderators, Baier and MacCallum, would be the only ones asking questions.
Podium placement and the order of closing statements would be determined by a coin flip, and candidates would be required to stand behind podiums without any props or prewritten notes.
"In recognition of FOX News Media's capabilities and reputation, we cordially extend an invitation to all concerned parties to discuss our proposal," Wallace and Loker wrote, emphasizing the network's commitment to fostering informed political dialogue during this crucial time for the nation.
