The Global Indian Diaspora Foundation organized a webinar titled “Updates & Understanding U.S. Visa Rules: Preparing the Indian Diaspora for What’s Next” to address pressing concerns surrounding visa policies, immigration procedures, and consular issues affecting the Indian community in the United States.
The event featured Somnath Ghosh, Consul General of India in Chicago, as the guest of honor, who offered valuable diplomatic insights on visa and immigration matters.
The webinar was moderated by Abhinav Raina, general secretary of the Global Indian Diaspora Foundation, and Rakesh Malhotra, president of Global Indian Diaspora Foundation delivered the opening remarks.
The event’s keynote speech, delivered by immigration attorney Mary Kennedy provided crucial updates on U.S. visa restrictions, changes in immigration policies, challenges surrounding H-1B visa quotas, and potential reforms affecting H-4 work permits. Her analysis aimed to equip attendees with a clearer understanding of the evolving U.S. immigration landscape.
