Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Indian actor Saif Ali Khan, is set to make his on-screen debut alongside Khushi Kapoor in Nadaaniyan, an upcoming Netflix romantic drama produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment.
Directed by first-time filmmaker Shauna Gautam, who assisted on ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ the film captures the emotions and complexities of first love. Its release date is yet to be announced.
Nadaaniyan follows Pia, a confident young woman from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida, as they navigate love and differences in their contrasting worlds.
Producers Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra expressed excitement over the project, stating, “With Nadaaniyan, we’re celebrating love in its purest form. This film introduces a fresh, dynamic pairing with Ibrahim and Khushi while perfectly capturing the essence of young romance.”
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, director of Original Films at Netflix India, described the film as “an emotional rollercoaster that explores the innocence and irreverence of young love.”
As the film marks a fresh pairing between Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, the anticipation surrounding its release is high. Khushi Kapoor is the daughter of late actress Sridevi, who made her feature film debut with the role of Betty Cooper in The Archies.
Kapoor will next be seen opposite Junaid Khan in the romantic comedy Loveyapa, a remake of the Tamil film Love Today.
