This underscores the country's expanding role in the international Artificial Intelligence (AI) arena and reflects its significant investments in AI education and workforce development, establishing India as a major force in AI innovation.
The AI skill penetration rate measures how extensively AI skills are incorporated into different occupations or how often LinkedIn members utilize AI capabilities in their roles. From 2015 to 2023, India, the United States, and Germany had the highest AI skill penetration rates, with India leading at 2.8, followed by the United States at 2.2, and Germany at 1.9.

During this period, several major economies saw substantial growth in their AI workforce. India, Cyprus, and Denmark experienced the most significant increases, with growth rates of 263 percent, 229 percent, and 213 percent, respectively.
