India has accelerated the rollout of its e-Passport program, aiming to provide citizens with enhanced security and streamlined international travel, the government said on Apr.3.
Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, informed parliament that the e-Passport, a hybrid paper and electronic document, is being implemented as a pilot project alongside the Passport Seva Program (PSP) Version 2.0.
