The Indian Embassy in Budapest hosted a Holi celebration on Mar.16 at the Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre (ASCC), bringing together members of the Indian community and local enthusiasts to mark the festival of colors.
Dr. Mukesh Kumar Srivastava, director of ASCC, welcomed attendees and spoke about the significance of Holi, emphasizing its message of love, unity, and inclusivity. He highlighted how the festival transcends cultural boundaries, fostering harmony and togetherness.
The event showcased the spirit of Holi—a celebration of the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring—with lively performances of traditional Indian music and dance, followed by the joyful throwing of colors.
Guests also enjoyed a variety of traditional Indian delicacies, adding a flavorful touch to the celebration. The event provided an opportunity to experience Indian culture firsthand and strengthened cultural ties between India and Hungary.
