Indian-origin CEOs among ‘Top 50 Software Leaders of 2024’

This year’s honorees were chosen for their outstanding careers and significant industry contributions.

New York-based market research firm, The Software Report, has unveiled its annual list of the Top 50 Software chief executive officers (CEOs), including 10 of Indian descent, who are driving innovation and transformation in the global tech landscape. 

These executives are influencing the future of technology through their strategic vision and leadership, spanning a wide range of sectors from enterprise SaaS to AI and data security.

Top of the list is Reggie Aggarwal, CEO and founder of Cvent, who leads a 5,000-person team to deliver cutting-edge meeting and event software to over 22,000 clients around the world. 

Bipul Sinha, at the helm of Rubrik, has championed Zero Trust data security solutions to safeguard against cyber threats. Gainsight CEO Nick Mehta has positioned his company as a leader in customer success, with nearly 200 publicly traded companies relying on its platform. 

Ashutosh Garg, co-founder of Eightfold AI, leverages machine learning to revolutionize talent management, supporting diversity and workforce transformation across 155 countries. Dhiraj Sharma, founder of Simpplr, has enhanced employee engagement through AI-driven platforms. Amit Sharma, CEO of CData Software, has propelled his company to the forefront of data connectivity solutions. 

Balaji Sreenivasan, leading Aurigo Software, focuses on streamlining infrastructure project management with cloud technology.

ReverseLogix founder Gaurav Saran tackles sustainability through innovative returns management solutions, serving major brands like FedEx and Samsonite. Raj Bains, CEO of Prophecy.io, is redefining data transformation with low-code platforms used by Fortune 50 enterprises.

Lastly, Rahul Ponnala, CEO of Granica.AI, is spearheading efforts to prepare enterprise data for scaling AI applications.

The influence of Indian-origin professionals in the technology industry is exemplified by these leaders, who drive progress, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation on a global scale.
