Indian-origin entrepreneur wins Ghana Business Award

The Award recognizes Vanya Daryanani’s company, Sustain a Bean, for its innovative contributions to sustainable development.

Indian-origin entrepreneur Vanya Daryanani, co-founder of Sustain a Bean, has won the Ghana Business Award for Best Sustainability Project, marking a significant achievement in corporate sustainability and ethical business practices. 

Daryanani, who lives in Ghana,  has also been named a Study UK Alumni Awards Finalist for her contributions to sustainable business leadership.

Daryanani’s company, Sustain a Bean, is at the forefront of integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into business models, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The company’s initiatives focus on ethical sourcing, sustainability compliance, and corporate responsibility, setting new benchmarks for businesses worldwide.

One of the company's key frameworks, Bean to Bond, uses cacao as a metaphor for leadership transformation, helping companies align profits with purpose. Sustain a Bean also leads water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) initiatives in Ghana, including borehole construction projects, which contribute to Good health and well-being (SDG 3) and climate action (SDG 13).
