Indian, US passports lose power in 2025 global rankings
According to immigration consultancy Nomad Capitalist, shifting geopolitics, economic instability, and policy changes have curtailed visa-free access for many passports.

India’s passport ranking has dropped to 148th position in the Nomad Capitalist Passport Index 2025 from its 147th position in 2024. The US passport also saw a drop in its ranking from 44th in the world in 2024 to 45th in 2025.
