Indo-American Festivals, Inc. (IAF) has announced the inaugural Grand Hanuman Jayanti Festival, scheduled to take place on Apr.12 in New Jersey.
The celebration's highlight will be the majestic 16-foot-tall statue of Lord Hanuman, symbolizing strength, devotion, and protection. The day-long festival will commence with a mass recital of the Sundar Kand and Hanuman Chalisa, led by 251 devotees, followed by a grand Maha Hanuman Aarti.
In addition to devotional activities, the festival will feature an engaging lineup of cultural and entertainment programs. Attendees can look forward to live Hanuman Leela performances, music and dance showcases, a Meena Bazaar featuring craft stalls, and a diverse array of Indian and ethnic culinary delights offered by numerous food vendors.
This marks the first time IAF is organizing a dedicated festival in honor of Hindu Lord Hanuman. The organization, widely recognized for its annual Grand Dussehra Festival, has been at the forefront of promoting Indian culture in the United States for over two decades.
The Hanuman Jayanti will be held at Mercer County Park, located at 1638 Old Trenton Road, West Windsor,
IAF was established in 1999 by the late Mangal Gupta; it is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and celebrating Indian heritage through large-scale cultural events.
