The Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, taking place from Jan. 16 to Feb. 24 in Prayagraj, will showcase a rich mix of cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions.
The Uttar Pradesh government has invited a variety of artists from across India to perform at the event. It will kick off with a performance by Shankar Mahadevan on Day 1 (Jan. 16), and will conclude with a performance by Mohit Chauhan on the last day (Feb. 24).
Other renowned artists, including Kailash Kher (Feb. 23), Shaan Mukherjee (Jan. 27), Hariharan (Feb. 10), Kavita Krishnamurthy (Feb. 8), Kavita Seth (Feb. 21), Rishav Rikhiram Sharma (Feb. 15), Shovana Narayan (Jan. 25), L Subramaniam (Feb. 8), Bickram Ghosh (Jan. 21), and Malini Awasthi (Jan. 27), will also perform during the event.
Other than these, various Bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Anup Jalota, Renuka Shahane, Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan,
Manoj Tiwari, Akshara Singh, Rakhi Sawant, and others are also likely to attend the grand devotional event.
The performances reflect India’s diverse cultural heritage and enhance the spiritual experience for pilgrims and visitors. The cultural showcase goes beyond entertainment—it will represent the perfect blend of spirituality and artistic expression.
“From classical dances to folk traditions, these performers weave a vibrant tapestry of India’s cultural diversity, enhancing the spiritual experience for pilgrims and visitors alike,” the Ministry of Culture said in a statement. “Through this celebration of artistry, the Maha Kumbh becomes more than a pilgrimage—it transforms into an unforgettable cultural odyssey.”
