Lawmakers push for accountability in Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, Urge focus on tangible benefits

An Indian parliamentary committee has raised concerns over the lack of outcome reports for the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) conventions, arguing that without proper documentation, the government cannot assess the tangible benefits or shortcomings of these high-profile events. The panel has urged the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to make PBD conventions more result-oriented rather than mere grand celebrations.
