Leap to Shine raises over $115,000 for education
The event named “Dancing For A Cause” featured 10 celebrity participants, each paired with a professional choreographer

Leap to Shine, a nonprofit organization focused on transforming children's education, hosted its annual Dancing for a Cause event on Sep. 13, raising over $115,000. The funds will go toward providing digital devices to more than 500 children, helping them access the educational tools they need.
The event featured 10 celebrity participants, each paired with a professional choreographer. After three months of rehearsals, the pairs delivered performances that captivated the audience.
The performances were evaluated by a panel of judges, including dance teachers Shehnaz Jagasia, Bhumit Patel, and Savitha Anand. The evening was hosted by Reena Roy of ABC News, with Gunjan Banerji, a journalist for The Wall Street Journal and CNBC, delivering the keynote address.
Banerji shared her experience of mentoring Dharvi, a Leap to Shine scholar, helping her pursue her dream of becoming a journalist.
Keyur Shah, director at Leap to Shine, highlighted the organization’s mission. “We are identifying extraordinary scholars through our program and providing them with everything they need to succeed, empowering them to overcome all obstacles and fulfill their dreams,” Shah said. He emphasized the organization's belief that with proper support, young scholars can overcome challenges and achieve greatness.
Leap to Shine credited its sponsors—HSBC, Innova Solutions, and Charter Global—for their role in the event's success. The next Dancing for a Cause is set for Sep. 13,2025. Leap to Shine encourages aspiring participants to join the cause and make a difference.
