Madhish Parikh honored with BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award 2025

Madhish Parikh, an Indian youth ambassador, has been awarded the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Young Leaders Award 2025 in the category of Best Young Social Entrepreneur of the Year. 

The Academy of Youth Diplomacy and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan presented the honor at a distinguished ceremony. The event was held from Jan. 24-26 in Kazan, Russia.

The award is designed to promote the development of collaborative partnerships among youth leaders from these nations and encourage their active participation in shaping the future of their respective regions and the world.

Parikh, the founder and president of Elixir Foundation, leads a youth-driven organization recognized by the Government of India for empowering young leaders through community engagement. 

Acknowledged for his remarkable contributions, Parikh has previously received the President’s Award for community development initiatives and the National Youth Award from the Government of India for his work in nation-building programs. He has represented India on global platforms such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum.

Expressing his gratitude, Parikh shared on LinkedIn, “I am deeply honored to receive the BRICS and SCO Young Leaders Award 2025 in the category of Best Young Social Entrepreneurship Award, presented at a prestigious ceremony in Kazan, which also hosted the 16th annual BRICS Summit attended by global leaders, including India’s Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.”

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Academy of Youth Diplomacy and the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan for recognizing the power of young leaders across BRICS and SCO nations,” he added.

Parikh shared on X, “So happy to see such a beautiful outcome of the recent #BRICS Educational Expedition we hosted in India.”



The awards saw participation from 13 countries, including India, Brazil, China, Ethiopia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and the UAE. 

More than 400 applicants, comprising entrepreneurs, media influencers, researchers, and environmental activists, competed for recognition in various categories.

Parikh was among 10 global young leaders honored for their efforts in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and engaging young people in public initiatives related to healthcare and disaster relief.

Reflecting on the honor, Parikh remarked, “Sharing this platform with nine extraordinary changemakers from BRICS and SCO countries was truly inspiring. Their resilience, leadership, and dedication to creating a better future reflect the power of youth across borders.”

Parikh emphasized that this recognition is a milestone not just for him but for everyone who has contributed to his mission of youth empowerment and social change.
