A confrontation occurred in Auckland, New Zealand, on Nov.17, when a white man confronted a group of individuals supporting the Khalistani movement during a ‘referendum’ focused on the Indian state of Punjab. The incident was captured in a video shared by journalist Mocha Bezirgan.

In the video, the man is heard expressing his anger towards the group and questioning their right to participate in the referendum in New Zealand. “Why would you think you could come over to this country, where soldiers left this country and are buried on foreign soil? New Zealand and Australia, the ANZACs, are buried on foreign soil,” he shouted.

The man continued, emphasizing the sacrifices made by soldiers from New Zealand and Australia. “They went and bled and died for this country. And you think you can come over here and fly that disgusting yellow flag in another country? How dare you? Who do you think you are?”

The confrontation ended with the man urging, “Go back to your own country. Don’t bring your foreign agenda into my country.”

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions surrounding the Khalistani movement, which seeks an independent Sikh state, and its supporters' activities outside of India.
