Meaningful trade facilitation through a sweeping bilateral trade deal is long overdue, the US-India Business Council said on Mar.3 as Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal arrived in the American capital for a bilateral meeting with the US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
The visit of Goyal is the first cabinet-level meeting between the two countries after the Feb.13 meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump at the White House. Goyal’s meeting with Lutnick is a follow-up to the two leaders' several significant decisions.
