Indian American actress, writer, and producer Mindy Kaling will be making an appearance in Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
The show, premiering Jan 15, highlights themes of cooking, gardening, and entertaining, with Kaling sharing what she describes as one of the “most glamorous moments” of her life alongside the Duchess of Sussex.
The trailer offers viewers a glimpse into Markle’s home, where she’s seen hosting friends, preparing meals, and creating heartfelt moments. The trailer for the show shows Kaling surprised by Markle’s culinary skills. “What? This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life,” Kaling says, eliciting laughter from the Duchess.
Kaling’s appearance in the series underscores her long standing friendship with Markle. The two first collaborated on Markle’s Spotify podcast, Archetypes, in 2022, where they discussed themes of identity and ambition. Their bond has only grown since, with Kaling even jokingly referencing Markle in an Instagram video last October. While cooking soup, Kaling quipped, “I’m freaking Meghan Markle over here,” hinting at her admiration for the Duchess’s homemaking flair.
The eight-episode series will feature a star-studded lineup of Markle’s friends, including Mindy Kaling, chef Roy Choi, culinary legend Alice Waters, and former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer. Each 30-minute episode highlights personal and heartfelt moments, showcasing the Duchess’s creative approach to homemaking and hospitality.
