Modi honored with 'Order of Excellence' by Guyana

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Guyana's highest honor, The Order of Excellence, on Nov. 20.

In his acceptance speech, Modi expressed deep gratitude for receiving the honor. He dedicated the award to the people of India, acknowledging their contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.



Modi also took the opportunity to underline the strong historical ties between India and Guyana, noting the shared values and deep-rooted connections that have shaped their partnership over the years.

The award was presented by the President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, in recognition of Modi's leadership, support for developing nations, and efforts to strengthen India-Guyana relations.
