American TV host and comedian Conan O’Brien stole the spotlight on Mar.2 while hosting the 97th Academy Awards with an unexpected shoutout to Indian fans, adding a surprising twist to the star-studded night at the Dolby Theatre.
O’Brien switched to Hindi during his monologue, leaving audiences both at the venue and online stunned. “Namashkar. Nashte ke saath Oscar kar rahe hai aap log,” he said, which translates to, “Greetings to the people of India, It’s morning there, so I hope you enjoy your breakfast with the Oscars.”
