New songs pay tribute to Mahakumbh

The two songs titled ‘Mahakumbh Hai’ and ‘Jai Mahakumbh’ celebrate the spirit of devotion, celebration, and the vibrant cultural essence of the iconic festival

Indian Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw on Jan. 8 launched a pair of Mahakumbh songs produced by All India Radio and Doordarshan.

The two songs titled ‘Mahakumbh Hai’ and ‘Jai Mahakumbh’ celebrate the spirit of devotion, celebration, and the vibrant cultural essence of the iconic festival, which is set to be held at Prayagraj from January 13, 2025 to February 26, 2025.

‘Mahakumbh Hai’  produced by Doordarshan is sung by renowned singer Kailash Kher with lyrics penned by Aalok Shrivastav, and music composed and arranged by Kshitij Tarey. 
 

The video showcases the confluence of faith, tradition, and festivity that define the Mahakumbh and pays tribute to India’s rich cultural heritage.

‘Jai Mahakumbh’ dedicated to the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, is sung by Ratan Prasanna, with the music of Santosh Nahar and Ratan Prasanna. The lyrics, penned by Abhinay Shrivastava, capture the grandeur of the event while highlighting the spiritual connection with the divine. 

Produced by Akashvani (AIR) the song encapsulates the spiritual, cultural, and religious significance of the Mahakumbh from a devotee’s perspective.
