Nita Ambani to headline India Conference at Harvard

Her keynote will spotlight India’s transformative journey as a global leader in innovation, culture, and collaborative growth.

Indian philanthropist and businesswoman, Nita Ambani will deliver the keynote speech at the India Conference at Harvard (ICH), one of the largest student-led India-focused events in the United States. 

Scheduled for Feb.15-16, 2025, at Harvard University, the conference will center around the theme "From India to the World." Her keynote will spotlight India’s transformative journey as a global leader in innovation, culture, and collaborative growth.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) member and the founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani  recently hosted the International Olympic Committee (IOC) session in India after four decades and led efforts to position India as a contender for the 2036 Olympics. She has also impacted over 80 million lives through her social equity initiatives and continues to advocate for India’s global potential.

Ayush Shukla, co-chair of the conference, said, "The India Conference has always strived to push the boundaries of dialogue around India’s growth story. This year’s theme ‘From India to the World’ captures the essence of India's transformative journey—where local ingenuity meets global impact. This theme celebrates not only the success stories of our technological prowess and development growth but also showcases the lessons Indians offer about collaborative communities, vibrant culture, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit.”

The India Conference at Harvard is jointly hosted by students from the Harvard Business School (HBS) and Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). Chaired by Arpit Garg, Sanchie Shroff, Kartik Sahni, and Ayush Shukla, this year’s event will feature over 80 speakers across two days, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, and cultural icons.

Highlights include a fireside chat with Nita Ambani, a policy hackathon addressing climate challenges and financial inclusion in collaboration with the Indian School of Business, and a startup pitch competition offering $20,000 in prizes to innovative entrepreneurs addressing India’s unique challenges.

Other notable speakers include Pramath Raj Sinha, founding dean of the Indian School of Business and Ashoka University; Ashish Chauhan, CEO of the National Stock Exchange of India; Anjali Bansal, founding partner of Avaana Climate and Sustainability Fund; and iconic fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

This year's conference promises to explore how Indian ideas and initiatives are reshaping global narratives, celebrating India's evolving role on the world stage.
