Sarina Jain, the founder of Masala Bhangra, has been recognized by the New York City Mayor’s Office of International Affairs for 25 years of impactful service. Since its inception, Masala Bhangra has seamlessly integrated fitness with the rich traditions of Indian dance, inspiring countless New Yorkers to embrace movement and cultural expression.
Reflecting on the milestone, Jain shared on social media, “When I first arrived in New York, I didn’t know a single person. Yet, I was determined to introduce Masala Bhangra to the world. This city gave me the platform to shine, and I am forever grateful for that.”
