As key members of the Commonwealth of Nations, India and the UK reiterated their dedication to advancing the organization's goals and fostering collaboration among member states.

Climate action and sustainability were also major topics of discussion. Prime Minister Modi commended King Charles III for his decades-long support of environmental causes and provided insights into India’s ambitious initiatives aimed at combating climate change and promoting green development, reflecting the country's proactive role on the global stage.

In a gesture of goodwill, the two leaders exchanged festive greetings ahead of Christmas and the New Year. Prime Minister Modi extended heartfelt wishes for King Charles’s health and well-being, emphasizing the cordial rapport shared between the two nations.

The interaction comes shortly after King Charles III and Queen Camilla made a private stopover at a wellness resort in Bengaluru last month during their journey back from engagements in Australia and Samoa. The monarch’s visit underscored the enduring cultural and historical ties between India and the UK.
